Why We Publish Our Methodology
Casino affiliate sites don't always like to show their working. We think this is a bad idea — especially for a high-risk sector like YMYL such as casinos where customers may spend real money as a direct result of something they've read on our website. By publishing our methodology and criteria for evaluating the casino sites in the guide, we enable readers to assess our approach and determine for themselves the assumptions that we've made when scoring certain criteria and where there may be limitations to our coverage.
We personally investigate and test all the casinos we have listed in our reviews. We do not depend on press packs or demo accounts sent in by the casinos themselves or on any unverified 3rd party information. Although we strive to be as comprehensive as possible, we often have to return to the casino to finish all 5 testing phases, and on rare occasions we choose to publish the review sooner, and clearly declare which sections were not fully tested and/or verified.
Our 5-Step Testing Process
We list each casino review step by step, in the same order as they are performed by Marcus Veld in this case, carried out personally.
Step 1 — Account Creation & Onboarding
We register a real account using standard personal details. We note:
- Signup steps and friction points
- KYC documentation required and time to verification
- Whether email or phone confirmation is needed before play
- Any geolocation restrictions or IP blocks encountered
- Clarity of age verification and responsible gambling consent
Why it matters: This is a basic indicator of the professionalism of a Bitcoin business. Ideally, any onboarding hurdles should be minimal and occurring before the depositor actually sends the Bitcoin. Anything that's excessive is bad news, and anything that's non-existent is worse.
Step 2 — Litecoin Deposit Test
Deposited an actual LTC at or near the quoted minimum amount. The following was recorded:
- Wallet address format and any memo/tag requirements
- Number of confirmations required before funds appear
- Total wall-clock time from broadcast to playable balance
- Any deposit fees charged by the casino
- Whether bonus activation is automatic or requires a code
Our benchmark: Benchmark for LTC deposits to be settled in 5–15 minutes. More than 30 minutes and no explanation given will be noted in our review.
Step 3 — Game Library Testing
We play through a structured sample of the game library. Our test set includes:
- 10+ slot titles across different providers and volatility levels
- At least one live dealer table game (blackjack or roulette)
- At least one table game in RNG mode
- A progressive jackpot slot, if available
- Mobile play on at least one Android device
We evaluate based on the following criteria: load speed, visual quality, fairness indicators such as published RTP where available, provider breadth, and search/filter functionality.
Step 4 — Customer Support Testing
We contact support with a standardised set of questions, including:
- A general question about LTC deposit limits
- A question about wagering requirements on the welcome bonus
- A technical question about a game loading issue (simulated)
We tested the services of these online casinos by asking customer support to clarify a variety of issues. We tested live chat where available, and also emailed the casino with some basic and a couple of advanced questions. We evaluated first response times, the accuracy of the support staff's answers to the questions we posed, and whether or not we felt that the staff was dishonest with us when describing potentially negative elements of the casino such as withdrawal limitations.
Step 5 — Withdrawal Verification
We are requesting a Litecoin withdrawal from the casino. This is really the only important test for us. We are documenting:
- Whether additional KYC was required at withdrawal stage
- Processing time from request to blockchain broadcast
- Any fees deducted by the casino
- Whether the amount received matched the amount requested
- Any communication from the casino during the process
Scoring Criteria & Weightings
All tests are given a score from 1-10 across 5 categories. These scores are then weighted and the overall score is displayed on this page as the review score.

|---|---|---|
| 🎰 Games & Software | 25% | Library size, provider quality, live casino, mobile experience, variety |

How Often We Update Reviews
Online casinos are constantly changing, with bonuses expiring, licenses being revoked and terms being changed. Our reviews are therefore updated as follows:
- Full re-test: Once a year or when there is a change of ownership or a casino is licensed/re-branded or a major shift in their platform(s).
- Partial update: The quarterly review and partial update of bonus terms, bank details and application statistics.
- Urgent update: In the event of receiving reliable information on reports of problem withdrawal of games, revocation of licenses or ill-treatment of players, the Commission will review the information as a matter of urgency and within 72 hours at the latest.
We show a 'Last tested' date under every review headline score so you can see when we last checked each product.
Our Limitations — What We Don't Claim
Our website is funded by us; we do not receive any money from manufacturers or distributors, therefore our reviews remain independent. We currently have only one sample for testing and hence our assessment is an individual snapshot in time.
- Single tester: The reviews are based on a single tester, and the individual experiences of a player may vary when it comes to the VIP treatment and edge cases when withdrawing.
- No jurisdiction testing: We test from a single location. Geo-restrictions, localised payment methods, and regional support quality may differ.
- Limited historical data: In some cases we have limited historical reliability data, especially in the case of new sites (i.e. those opened in the last 12 months or so), and this is detailed in the Trust section of our reviews.
- Affiliate relationships: We get affiliate commissions from casinos when you join up via our affiliate links. While this doesn't impact our reviews' accuracy, we wanted to bring it to your attention as any form of payment is a conflict of interest that should be disclosed. Please see our full affiliate disclosure here.
